Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining precision machinery to produce high-quality components to exact specifications. This role requires an understanding of mechanical drawings, machining techniques, and quality control standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate machinery, such as hydraulic presses, grinders, and drill presses, etc.
Read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
Monitor machining operations and make adjustments as needed to ensure precision and quality.
Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure compliance with specifications.
Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Collaborate with quality control and production teams to optimize processes.
Record production data and complete necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school certification preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Knowledge of safety standards and OSHA regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Pay:
Negotiable, based upon experience
