Now Hiring: Head Start Center Supervisor
Location: Wymore NE - Full time at 36 hrs/week - Starting at $20.65/hr

About the Role:
This supervisory position oversees the daily operations of the center, supports a dedicated team of educators and helps families achieve personal and developmental goals through collaborative, community-focused engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support center staff, volunteers, and substitute teachers
- Manage day-to-day operations, including safety, staffing, scheduling, and compliance
- Coordinate and carry out home visits, family engagement efforts, and individualized support planning
- Lead enrollment efforts and ensure full program participation (ERSEA)
- Develop strong relationships with families, staff, and community agencies
- Ensure the implementation of state, federal, and agency regulations
- Promote a safe, clean, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate environment
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with Head Start performance standards and state licensing regulations
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
- Has at least 1 year of experience in a paid management role OR 2 years of Head Start experience
- Possesses strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Can engage with diverse populations and work collaboratively across teams
- Is passionate about early childhood education and family empowerment
- Can balance professional judgment with a heart for service
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 1 ½ years of experience working with children and formal training in a related field.
- High school diploma or GED (additional education preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and access to insured transportation
- Must meet background, health, and safety screening requirements
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain)
- General computer literacy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or coursework in early childhood education, family services, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of family engagement practices and community resources
